These are so awesome!!!!
An amazing place for what is, in a sense, a religious shrine, behind a gas station; an embodiment of someone’s deep faith. I’m fascinated, as a Jungian, with the complexities in the interaction between the artist, as a person, and his or her worldview and experience of the divine as they expressed that, and me with my own experiences and worldview. We all share archetypal patterns and manifest them in our individual ways. I can place myself, to a degree, in their head and heart space because of the archetypal link and appreciate their experience. There was a sense of sacredness there.
I did a so-so job of shooting them, but I’m seeing what is there.
Yes! Exactly! I was there while thinking about your photo!
