Beautiful…. amazing colors and contrasts! 😀
Gorgeous! btw … did you know Arizona has lava flows? My hubby and I stumbled across them at sunset crater … it was weird. Lots of great volcanic structures in that lava flow …
Love this post.
Thanks. Arizona? That must have been cool to come across.
Yeah — totally unexpected! Go here: http://www.nps.gov/sucr/index.htm and click on the virtual field trip. The pictures here really don’t do it justice, though. We stumbled across it on our honeymoon; visited Wupatki and Walnut Canyon, as well as Grand Canyon and Meteor Crater. This was along the way … wish we had had time to get out and hike there. What we could see from the car was AMAZING … can only imagine what the hike would have been like.
Would you mind if I wrote a haiku or two about this photo, and posted it on my blog? I would definitely link to your site and this photo and credit the photo. This photo is crying out … “write about me! write about me!” What do you think?
Peter — here is your haiku. I hope you enjoy it. 🙂
